Blessed Beyond!

A photo collage of an old/new love (creating textiles) sandwiched between photos of two of my favourite loves (our beech tree and our visiting hums)!
I am BLESSED to have spent the last 3 days in the company of 4 Japanese Textile Masters ~
Reiko Sudo of the Nuno Corporation, Professor Masayoshi Ohashi, Chie Takai & Matsunaga Takeshi of Kata Kata,
who all travelled to Vancouver from Japan to be with us ~ as well as 17 other textile play pals!
We played with Nuno Textile pieces & embroidery threads, rust, folding and clamping (itajime), and indigo!!!
I'm feeling like the yeast that is happily bubbling away before being made into delicious bread.
Thank you for adding the sweetness and warmth and JOY and laughter to the yeast and for teaching & i*n*s*p*i*r*i*n*g us so
and for blowing the lid off of creativity & play.
Creativity & play liberated!
Woo hoo!
*Thank you for doing what you love and sharing it with the world!*
Much gratitude, too, to Maiwa and to Diana Sanderson of The Silk Weaving Studio on Granville Island and to Suri for making this possible.
This is a dream come true!
We all are so blessed beyond!

Happy playing and creating!
