~ peace to you ~

years ago 

i first heard about spiritual surrender

from eckhart

i didn't quite understand it initially

since i only knew surrender to be

a weakness

a defeat

a failure

then when i was given a few circumstances

to try it out

to see if it works

and did

wow

i discovered the real power in surrender

i came to know that it's the only way.

with everything.

i experience surrender

as a deep inner bowing

an energetic yes

opening

to what is

a yielding to

an aligning with 

reality
with
God

i came across this from rumi 

(he answers the questions)

where can you live safely then?

in surrender.

what is this giving up?

a peace that saves us.
