singing & synchronicities!
i so enjoy synchronicities
and in the last few days
two lovely ones have appeared
they both began at our annual family picnic
(on my maternal side)
my cousin and i discovered our mutual love of eagles
and when she mentioned the eagle story in the bible
i asked her where it is
and right there on the grassy spot
under the willow trees
with the eagles in the distance
she quoted
Isaiah 40:30-31
"even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will show their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
tears came to both of our eyes
now, the synchronicity
arrived the next day
while i was reading a new blog
by a young woman living through
what could be called a tragedy
she quoted this exact passage
in her blog entry
sparkle lights went off in my field!
the second synchronicity
came through a friend
who mentioned one of her favourite songs from long ago
and later sent me a youtube link
of the song and the lyrics
when i listened to it
one particular line
made me realize
that it was a song that a few of us
sitting around in a circle
in camping chairs on the grass
at this picnic
sang together
one of my grandmother's favourites
it's called
"in the garden"
and here's a link to a voice that i love
singing this song
happy day of singing and synchronicities to you!
