years ago

i had a bumpersticker that said

expect a miracle

it felt quite thrilling

and yet i didn't quite fully believe

that miracles existed

or were even possible

and if by some obscure chance that they did exist

they were few and far between

and they certainly weren't possible for me

i was a miracle doubter

but miraculously (!) i still held out for one

now

these days

i have witnessed and experienced

countless miracles!

miracles abound!

something has shifted 

in my perception of miracles

i now know they exist

i open to miracles

i invite miracles

i welcome miracles

i bow to miracles 

i say a prayer 

for miracles
